1. Types of digital media and delivery means of electronic information
CD-R, DVD-R, flash-card, or e-mail ([email protected]).
2. Requirements for versions of graphic editing used on CTP
Files must be prepared with versions of Adobe Illustrator CS6 and СС or earlier versions of this program, or Adobe Photoshop CS6 and CC or earlier versions of this program.
3. File extension requirements for CTP
Vector images saved in EPS, Ai or PDF formats with high quality for polygraph printing. Files saved in PDF with low-quality are suitable, exclusively, for preview.
Embedded in EPS, Ai, PDF, raster images must be in TIFF, Photoshop PSD, Photoshop DCS 2 formats. Related (inserted in a vector file) raster images should be in a separate folder. Resolution of raster images is not less than 300 dpi.
The raster image must be visually qualitative (clear, without blurring in unnecessary places, without pixelation, with correct color separation). A bitmap image should not contain small text, icons, logos and other elements with fine, contrast detail. It must be in the vector! A raster image can be embedded in a vector file without external links, but provided that it doesn’t need to be corrected later.
4. Requirements for color models and pantones
Layouts should be in the color model CMYK + pantones. The total number of colors should not exceed eight. The colors (paints), that are not part of the design, must be removed. The barcode must be 100% black or painted with a dark pantone other than the colors in the red spectrum.
5. Font requirements
All fonts in the layout should be in curves. If later you need to make text changes in the layout, the customer is required to provide a font file. The minimum font size (with black on white background) is 4pt, the turn (white on a colored background) is 6pt. These values are approximate and are intended for font types like Arial or Pragmatica (for example Chopped or Sans-Serif. In cases of non-standard font types (such as thin, serif, etc.) – will be looked at on a case-by-case basis. Black font is printed with an overprint, i.e. super-positioned without curves.
6. Features of preparing layouts for cutting
Pressing not less than 2 mm (continuation of the layout elements for the cut line along the blade perimeter). The distance of texts, logos and various design elements, except for the background, to the cutting line is not less than 2 mm. In some limited cases, 1.5 mm is acceptable.
